Narrative

This coin does not appear in the Dumbarton Oaks or Sear catalogues. In addition, the ‘III’ on the reverse does not match with other coins from Tiberius II’s reign, since he began dating his coins at year 5, having been regent for four years before becoming emperor in 578.
