Description

Small figure of a tiger made from mottled green and orange jade. Tiger lies on its stomach, head resting on front feet. Features are carved into figure, such as front toes, ears, mouth and tail. Piece has a flat bottom, with a hole bored through just above, at centre of figure.

History Of Use

Late 19th or early 20th century reproduction of a 150 B.C.E. ornament; made to attach to clothing or draperies.
