Model Totem Pole Item Number: A2392 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Model pole carved in very deep relief from a piece of round wood. The lowest figure is a land otter surmounted by a seal, a whale, a bird, a bear, a human-like face and a supernatural crane at the top. The beak of the bird is glued on. The entire pole is painted black.
Originally recorded as Coast Salish, but in 2002 Russell Smith said it could be Heiltsuk, based on the style.
