Jar Item Number: D4.26 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Unfired, brown clay jar with rough surface, bulb-shaped bottom, and fluted neck.

History Of Use

This could be a cooking pot made by the Pueblos during the deterioration of the pottery art after the revolt against the Spaniards in 1680, but it is more likely to be a Navajo attempt at copying Pueblo pottery.
