Description

Bark beater made from bone and shaped like a club. The head is rectangular with a series of fine parallel grooves running lengthwise. Handle has slightly flaring butt end.

History Of Use

For beating cedar bark. Used to separate layers of bark. Used at right angles to the lay of the fibre. Used over a flat pebble or similar hard base.
