Pot Item Number: 2847/52 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Clay pot has a squat, bulbous body narrowing to a large mouth with an internally overhanging rim. High on the body is a small animal head with large round ears, incised eyes and a snout with an open mouth. A small nub protrudes from the forehead. Opposite, on the back of the pot, is a large round tail. The pot body is decorated in patterns of incised lines. Three small, conical legs support the object, and are situated close together on the base. Charcoal covers much of both the outside and interior of the vessel.
