Headdress Item Number: A5281 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Painted wooden headdress; probably representing a bear. The long snout has a large black nose and nostrils outlined in red. The mouth is closed but the thin black lips are parted to reveal many white teeth. The eye is a white oval with a round black centre. At the rear of the headdress, a red circle and wavy green line are carved out on either side.
Possibly represents a grizzly bear (Tim Paul, 2005).
