Description
Brightly painted brown, black, white, yellow, red and green model totem pole. Pole depicts a small human figure standing in front of a bear with a large thunderbird perched on its head; the thunderbird's wings (cut from a separate piece of wood and nailed to the back) are outstretched. Entire figure is mounted on a red and green, square piece of wood.
Narrative
Based on a well-known Alert Bay totem pole featuring a Thunderbird and a bear holding a man.
