Description

A woman's woven belt with red, and blue geometric motifs on an off-white background. Lined and stiffened with a light-weight cotton canvas band. Tied with red and blue twisted wool cords trimmed with large red pompoms that have blue centres.

History Of Use

Women's belts are hand-made of bright weaves, or are appliqued in bright designs. Belts are normally worn with a tunic, which is bloused above it, forming a pouch where small items are carried.
