Wooden picture frame with photograph of a painting of a fort and a battle glued onto the centre. Frame is incised with Northwest Coast images. Inscription on reverse.
Narrative
Inscription on reverse reads: "Picture frame by Tsimpshean Indian; photograph of painting of old Hudson's Bay Fort, showing last war between Tsimpsheans and Hydahs, about 1849." The painting referred to was painted by Tsimshian artist Frederick Alexcee.
