Petroglyph rubbing on webril with red and maroon ink. From: "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington from the Dalles Dam Reservoir, 1956" by Mark Hedden. (9b) "Adjacent, right. Concentric circles or ovoids with rays. The slightly flattened appearance of the rings suggest that it may have been intended as an eye." (9c) "Above & adjacent right, to Wa 9b. Large face with vertically oriented lozenge-shaped eyes, open mouth with squarish outline, brow depression joining to noseridge, & large, slightly irregular, outline." (9d) "Adjacent right. Small series of concentric circles with triangular rays."
