Description
Pair of leather shoes with thick soles made from several layers of brown leather and leather thong straps with an ankle strap as well. The sole is painted with a zigzag line on the sides, and the top of the sole is decorated with scallop shapes alternating in blue-grey and red.
History Of Use
Worn with spurs attached to the heels for Pujllay.

Bought from Flora de Mendoza at her shop, Artesanias Bolivia, in the city of Sucre, Bolivia. In Candelaria, no one wished to sell their shoes and the Tarabuco shoemaker did not have any because it was the wrong time of year. Bought June 23, 1983, made in the town of Tarabuco.
