Description

Print with two women holding a long light blue and dark blue banded shawl. The woman on the left side is bending forward with her head turned down toward the left side. She is wearing clothing that has an alternating pink-beige bird, flower, and butterfly pattern. The woman on the right side is standing holding an open folding fan in her right hand with her face turned down toward the left side. Cylindrical yellow containers are stacked in a triangular formation behind them. The background is grey with white flowers along the darker top part. Along each left side, there is a circular red seal, two circular black seals, and black characters. Made of two vertically rectangular prints, adhered to a horizontally rectangular paper mount.

Narrative

The print is signed with two different signatures with Kōchōrō Toyokuni ga (香蝶楼豊國画) on the left, and Ichiyōsai Toyokuni ga(一陽斎豊國画) on the right with red circle seals known as toshidama-in (年玉印).
