Child's Moccasins Item Number: Na710 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Pair of off-white suede child's moccasins with white fabric lining. Embroidered floral design on toe area in green, blue, pink, red, purple, and yellow.

History Of Use

Traditionally moccasins were sewn with thread prepared from cedar bark or deer tendon sinew. Historically, commercial threads replaced native products. In the winter, before the child's moccasins were worn, they were filled with cat-tail down to provide warmth.
