Description
Hanging scroll with landscape painting; upper third is mountain with trees; middle has tree growing out of rock; lower third has fisherman in boat and rocks; black, white with brown leaves indicating autumn foliage. Green silk brocade strips at top and bottom of painting; outer border of painted grey paper. Half round dowel at top has silk braided black and white ribbon attached with metal eyes; black lacquered wooden cylinder at base. Calligraphy at back upper corner on right. Two holes in upper section of border. Calligraphy on front of painting in upper corner on right.
Narrative
Part of the Miss Jessie M. Miller Collection. Miss Miller was a teaching evangelist for the Anglican Church of Canada.
