Description
Crescent-shaped object with rounded ends; colouring is mottled yellow and brown; eight lines have been cut in to form a symmetrical design. Braided leather thong is threaded through drilled hole to form stiff loop bent in half.
History Of Use
Hole is pierced through fleshy part of seal's lower lip. Thong with handle on one end is passed through hole and toggle is attached. Points on toggle's ends press into flesh and hold toggle in place, allowing seal to be dragged.
