Pants, boy's, of woven fabric with light blue and purple alternating vertical bands. The bottom of each leg is embroidered with rows of multicoloured birds alternating with a multicoloured zigzag design.
History Of Use
Boy's everyday pants. Striped pattern (typically white and purple) and embroidery design is distinctive of that woven in Santiago Atitlan.
Specific Techniques
Fabric woven by a woman on a back strap loom; pant legs are decorated with hand embroidery.
