Description

A semi-circular alloyed gold shape made of a thin sheet of metal. The flat edge of the ornament has a circle cut out of it at its centre. There is a design of four embossed concentric circles with a raised dot border.

History Of Use

Nose ornaments are depicted frequently in Moche and Vicus ceramics. They are worn hanging from the septum (Lumbreras).
